Student Council

Student Voices

We now hold Student Council elections each year and have a representative from each school year. We also elect a Student Council Leader to be the liaison person between the student council and the senior leadership team. That student can be from any year in school.

The elections are held each September and all candidates are asked to present their case as to why they should be on the student council and how they think they can help the other students to have their voices heard by the staff. The students and staff then vote for the candidates.

The student council is consulted about a range of decisions in school from curriculum design to where to go on school trips. The school community values all input from all its members.

Cainan Thompson is our Student Council Leader for 2017/18. His campaign was all about making the school a place that the students want to be involved with and a fun place to be. Cainan will be in Y9 and was very proud to be elected, although not so pleased about having his photo taken!
